The "Local's Choice" Section

A couple of things worth knowing this month.

Autumn Low Tide Beach Walks

October can be a great time for a low-tide beach walk. Around 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM mid-month, check the rocks near The Del for exposed tide pools where you may spot sea anemones, small crabs and other marine life. Check the local tide schedule before heading out since tide times change daily.

Keep an Eye Out for "Downtown Goes Ghostly"

Coronado's Halloween activities and trick-or-treating details are typically announced closer to the date. Orange Avenue businesses traditionally participate in Halloween afternoon activities, so we'll keep an eye out for this year's official details.

Local Pro-Tip

A Taste of Coronado parking: Orange Avenue can get busy during A Taste of Coronado on Oct. 7, so consider parking farther from the main route and walking or biking in. The Ferry Landing and surrounding areas may also be useful starting points depending on the event route. Check the official event information before heading out for any event-specific parking or transportation recommendations.
